O rato de computador é uma das grandes invenções da humanidade.
Sempre achei extraordinário ver a Microsoft a perseguir ecrãs táteis. (Ou será a porcaria da Apple?) Um absurdo! (exceto para utilização eventual, momentânea; como há em sítios públicos).

Pelo andar da carruagem vão 'gastar' milhões e muitos anos a chegar à conclusão de que é extremamente estúpido trocar o rato por toques no ecrã. Uma coisa, para mim, óbvia.

Os dos portáteis safaram-se: por qualquer esotérica razão, a maior parte das pessoas não discute o touchpad, outra mediocridade sem comparação com a eficácia e elegância dos ratos. (Ainda assim incomparavelmente melhor do que ter de tocar no ecrã). Mas como os ratos não parecem nada, os estúpidos não se apercebem de que provavelmente não há melhor solução.
Se se concentrassem a melhorar o rato, como inevitavelmente acabarão por fazer, a esta hora já teríamos algo realmente funcional e eficiente para falar com o PC. Um rato evoluído, eis tudo o que é preciso para controlar (?) os computadores. E se não houver ideias para o melhorar, como está, serve bem.

Quem viu o filme lembra-se da música e da lista telefónica na cabeça do Sean Penn. Eu também. E lembro-me sempre desse filme quando vejo portugueses a falar como se isto fosse a América ou a insultar o presidente da República como se isto fosse a França. Não é.

O Conselho Europeu, seja lá isso o que for, neste assunto porta-se bem:
